Explosive Allegations: Former Oxford Roommate Claims Keir Starmer Lacks Political Conviction and Questions His Ties to Intelligence and Elite Networks

LONDON — A former university roommate of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has come forward with explosive claims about the Labour leader’s time at Oxford in the 1980s, according to a detailed thread published today by independent political journalist Jody McIntyre.
McIntyre, who describes Starmer as “the most dangerous Prime Minister Britain has ever had,” says the anonymous source lived with the future PM and shared insights into his early political associations, alleged intelligence connections, and current decision-making.
The thread, which has already amassed hundreds of thousands of views, has sparked intense debate online. Downing Street has not yet responded to requests for comment on the specific allegations.
According to McIntyre’s source, Starmer was involved with the Militant tendency — a Marxist faction within the Labour Party — and even invited expelled Liverpool councillor Derek Hatton to speak during his time at Oxford.
The roommate claims it was “surprisingly easy” to recruit Starmer to his own Trotskyist group, which was “credibly rumoured to be financed by [Libyan leader] Muammar Gaddafi.” He added that recent political events have revived his “most conspirational suspicions.”
The source alleges that “undercover police officers were around Keir from a young age,” pointing to the ongoing Spycop inquiry which confirmed undercover officers infiltrated numerous left-wing groups in the era.
He referenced Starmer’s involvement in the McLibel case, noting that the future PM’s driver and document handler was later exposed as a police asset who entered a sexual relationship with one of the defendants.
The roommate suggested this background could explain why Starmer appears “devoid of all political spine.”
Alternative explanations point to Starmer’s later membership of the Trilateral Commission, founded in the 1970s by US billionaire David Rockefeller to address what it called “an excess of democracy.”
Fact check: Starmer is confirmed as the only sitting British MP to join the Commission while serving as shadow Brexit secretary under Jeremy Corbyn. Public records and reports from Declassified UK corroborate the membership.
The Commission has counted among its members Peter Mandelson (a close Starmer ally recently appointed US Ambassador) and, historically, Jeffrey Epstein. Current members include BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, who has been courted by senior Starmer ministers including Rachel Reeves and Angela Rayner.
McIntyre also highlights Palantir’s multi-million-pound government contracts awarded without competitive tender.
With key allies Morgan McSweeney and Peter Mandelson having recently departed, McIntyre claims Starmer is attempting to reassert control through two controversial appointments:
McIntyre notes that Starmer previously promoted Matthew Doyle, a friend of convicted paedophile Sean Morton, to the House of Lords.
The thread highlights Starmer’s 2021 statement criticising the fact that 98% of sexual assault cases did not lead to charges. Critics point out that Starmer served as Director of Public Prosecutions for five years, the period when charging decisions were made.
McIntyre ends the thread by stating: “The British Prime Minister is a danger to the country, but he does not have long left in power.”
He links to his full Substack investigation and announces a forthcoming “part two of the Starmer Files.” The journalist also promotes a crowdfunding page, noting that his previous investigations into McSweeney were read more than 20 million times.
Disclaimer: These allegations are based on a single anonymous source and have not been independently verified by this publication. They represent the claims of Jody McIntyre and his source. Where possible, verifiable public facts (such as Starmer’s Trilateral membership and recent appointments reported across mainstream media) have been noted for context. This is a developing story.
